Our products
Climate offsetting and ecological compensation
We offer a Swedish, quality-assured alternative for those who want to offset emissions and strengthen biodiversity or need to secure land use with ecological compensation.
Towards a sustainable future
A verified product for climate investments in the north of Sweden. We work to preserve biodiversity, reduce climate impact and contribute to social values in Swedish boreal forests.

Invest to make a difference
Increased biodiversity, carbon sequestration and social values are all important elements in our product Boreal Mix and Boreal Komp.
Climate offsetting
Boreal Mix
We preserve forests with high biological values and also provide an alternative to clear-cut use of the forest. The sustainable result of this is increased carbon sequestration, greater biodiversity and higher social value.
Boreal Mix contains a diversity of habitat types, all of which are of great importance for a living forest eco system. Based on nature value assessment and sampling with eDNA, management plans are developed to optimize the development of biodiversity and social values such as reindeer husbandry.
The product contains a combination of carbon and biocredits. Pricing in CO2 equivalents that can be used for your climate offsetting.
Ecological compensation
Boreal Komp
We offer ecological compensation for organisations that are required to compensate for loss of biodiversity and ecosystem services as a result of land use. Compensation is provided through long-term protection of natural areas that previously lacked formal protection.
Long-term conservation and management measures, supported by regular maintenance and annual reporting, ensure additionality while promoting biodiversity and supporting social values like reindeer husbandry.
Biodiversity is assessed and calculated according to the Swedish standard for nature value inventory SIS 199000:2023 and according to the common method in the industry - CLIMB.

A verified process
Systems and technology are verified by Intertek Certification AB. Biodiversity within our project areas is measured and assessed using a nature value assessment. For areas larger than 250 hectares, eDNA analysis is also performed. The results of the nature value assessment are presented on a 10-point scale and aligned with SS 199000:2023 Nature Value Inventory (NVI).
The methodology has been further developed by fightCOtwo in collaboration with third-party experts and also incorporates a landscape perspective. Nature values are enhanced over the contract period with conservation management measures that are regularly monitored and followed up. All information is gathered and analyzed in our technical platform, EcotechAi. A biocredit confirms that a certain nature value is preserved or improved over the course of a year.

Calculations of carbon sequestration and the resulting carbon credits follow the principles outlined in the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG). We also adhere to the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) and meet the criteria described in their Beyond Value Chain Mitigation (BVCM), which provides a method to significantly reduce environmental impact within an organization's own value chain.
We follow the five core principles of additionality, permanence, verifiability, traceability, and sustainable development.
Contracted forests
For our product Boreal Mix, we have protected forests in the boreal coniferous forest belt, also known as the boreal forest ecosystem. In Sweden this region from the Dalälven river and northwards. The forest is dominated by conifers, but birch, willow and aspen also occur, as well as frequent elements of marshland.

Boreal forest next to the Laisälven river
Along the beautiful Laisälven river in Norrbotten lies one of our forests, a spruce and pine forest with an average age of 130 years. Active reindeer herding is carried out in the area and the forest enhances the wilderness feeling that surrounds the popular fishing area.

Forest area in the heart of Lapland
In the inland of Lapland, in forests characterized by slow-growing conifers, lies one of the forest areas protected by fightCOtwo. The forest has large elements of dead wood at various stages of decomposition, to the benefit of biodiversity and endangered species that depend on older forests.
Climate and biodiversity go hand in hand

Questions & Answers
Which forests do I contribute to protecting?
The protected land is located in Swedish forests. You can read more from some examples of contracted forests further up on this page.
How can I prove my carbon offset?
You will receive a certificate that shows your total climate funding, and we will ensure destruction of purchased credits from our total inventory. For climate funding, destroying climate credits and biocredits means that they cannot be used or traded again. The value of the credits then belongs to the buyer. This process is audited by external reviewers.
Why choose fightCOtwo?
We take a comprehensive approach to climate work and include carbon sequestration, biodiversity and social values. Your carbon offsetting helps to protect older, Swedish forests.
Why is biodiversity important?
Many species are directly dependent on old-growth forests for their survival. In Sweden, there has been an impoverishment of biodiversity for a long time as the remaining older forests have dramatically decreased. A rich diversity makes nature robust and resistant to for instance extreme weather. Intact ecosystems also bind large amounts of carbon and have a stabilising effect on the natural cycles.
